Thunder, lightning, rain, and clouds! Storms are some of the most

fearsome weather events, but they are also among the most beautiful and awe-inspiring. Storms can be big or small, from drizzles all the way to incredibly destructive hurricanes.

Storms start when hot air at the surface of the earth rises into the atmosphere, carrying water vapour along with it and creating an area of low pressure at the earth’s surface. As it rises higher and higher, the temperature of the atmosphere begins to drop and the hot air cools.
